Hosting Information
The Proposition
Well, since my site just opened, I have no hostees yet, but am currently taking
applications. Below is a list of what I am looking for in a hostee and also
what you would receive if I decide to host you.
The Requirements
You must have a site already open that I can look at before I will consider
hosting you. It doesn't have to be the site you plan to host here, but I need
some type of visual before I host you.
You must have knowledge of FTP and HTML. This means that you should be able
to create, and maintain your own site. I am willing to help if I can, but
my free time is limited.
You should be capable of creating your own layout and graphics. I do not have
the time or energy to create layouts for others, but will try to help if I
can.
You need to be able to update your site regularly. Please note that this is
under regular circumstances. If you have a personal emergency or other circumstances
that keeps you from updating, that is completely understandable as long as
I am informed.
You site should have good content. I am mainly looking to host personal sites,
blogs, pixel/graphic sites, and fanlisting/clique sites. Other types of site
may be accepted, but I should have a general overview of the content you plan
to have on your site.
You may not upload any large files due to space and bandwidth restrictions.
Smaller files are fine, but shouldn't be any larger than roughly 50KB. Exceptions
may be made but must be approved by me in advance.
Absolutely no direct linking or any other type copyright infringements are
allowed. It's illegal and unethical and will not be tolerated here.
You must acknowledge that your are hosted by pixievisions.com somewhere on
your site. It can be a text link or an image, but it must be there.
You have to respect me and my rules since this is my domain and I spend my
hard-earned money to keep it open. I have decided to host others because I
know how hard it is to find a good, free host.
In the form, where it says anything else, put the word magic. This is to let
me that you have read and understand the rules.
You Will Receive
Enough Space, roughly 7 to 10 MB but more is possible if it is needed.
Your own FTP account.
PHP,MYSQL,Perl,CGI access.
Your own subdomain which will be http://yoursitename.pixievisions.com.
Your own email address or forwarder which will be you@pixievisions.com.
Some Website Support from me if you need it.
Most importantly a great, helpful hostess. :)
